I 2014 meddelte Fiat, at man ønskede at reducere aktiebeholdningen i Ferrari.
“It’s a good place to go” reckons Kimi Raikkonen, speaking prior to tackling his 13th weekend at Interlagos, the track where he clinched the World Championship title with the Scuderia in 2007. “It’s a different and “old”, traditional circuit. It’s about short laps and not so many corners, but it’s hard to make a very good lap time and the grid is always very tight there."
However, from the cockpit it’s not that noticeable, as Kimi Raikkonen explains: “I don’t think we feel it very much. Obviously you see when you go into the stadium, but there are very tight corners there and you already know there are a lot of people. It was a nice race for the first year. What they did is very nice. Everything worked well. I think it will be interesting to go back there. The circuit was very slippery at the start, but it got better and better during the weekend".
“It’s a nice circuit” says Kimi of the American track. “They put a good design in it, plus it has uphill sections and it’s not just flat. I think it makes it more interesting. Last year we had a very bad weather during most of the weekend. It was not very nice for any of us, drivers and spectators, but it’s part of the game."

“I don’t know if it’s one of my favorite circuits, but it’s a good one” is Kimi Raikkonen’s view of the Japanese track. “It’s a challenging circuit where if your car is not handling as you want, it’s not a nice place where to be because it’s fast and very difficult to get everything running as you want. This is a nice circuit where to drive and where you can push because it’s fast.”

“The mix between the extreme pressure that we feel trying to do our best in the race in Italy and the massive passion and support that all our fans usually give us when we are in Monza is very special” comments Diego Ioverno, Race Team Manager of Scuderia Ferrari. It’s impressive to see in the stands how many people wear something red.”
“It’s a nice place to go,” says Kimi Raikkonen of the Monza track “a traditional circuit with a lot of history. It’s completely different from all the other circuits. It’s a home Grand Prix for us and this makes it a bit busier for us, but also for a lot of fans.”
“It is very challenging from a meteorological point of view” reckons Sebastian Vettel’s race engineer Riccardo Adami. “The weather is challenging: in the past, I remember having found a part of the circuit with the sun shining and the other part with rain..."
The fourth round of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge ended today at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia amidst very high track temperatures hovering around 50 degrees Celsius. If the first race was dramatic, the second was spectacular. Despite the fierce battle among the 26 drivers in the field, Steve Wyatt from Australia and Chinese Liang Wang repeat their wins from Race-1 in their respective classifications. Huilin Han from China took the Pirelli AM classification.
Sepang, 6 August 2016 – Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific Round 4 Race-1 at Sepang International Circuit turned out to be full of thrills and drama. With 31 drivers from 13 countries participating in the race, the 5.543 km circuit was an adrenaline-filled affair for the spectators, with the hot and humid weather contributing to the fierce battle on the first day.
Day two of the fourth round of Ferrari Challenge Europe, held at the first ever Ferrari Racing Days in Russia, saw Bjorn Grossmann and Vladimir Atoev (Pirelli Am) repeat their wins in Race-1 in the Trofeo Pirelli, while in the Coppa Shell victory went to championship leader Thomas Loefflad.
Two experienced drivers won on the first day of the fourth round of the Ferrari Challenge Europe, held at the first ever Ferrari Racing Days in Russia. Bjorn Grossmann triumphed in the Trofeo Pirelli and Fons Scheltema in the Coppa Shell, while we saw the birth of a star, 17-year-old Vladimir Atoev, a product of the SMP Racing Academy, who triumphed on his debut.
The first Ferrari Racing Days event in Russia was completed today with a record of spectators. Over 20,000 turned out between Saturday and Sunday, confirming the passion of Russian people for motorsport and the world related to the Prancing Horse.
The Russian fans in Sochi know Formula 1, or at least the era of the hybrids that have raced since 2014, the year of the first ever Russian Grand Prix. The first spectators who flocked to the first Ferrari Racing Days in Sochi were astonished by the extraordinary sound of the naturally aspirated engines of the F1 Clienti cars which put on a show with a series of track sessions. The tutor was Andrea Bertolini, a longstanding Scuderia Ferrari test driver and familiar face in Russia who won the European Le Mans Series 2014 and the World Endurance Championship 2015 with the 458 Italia GTE of local team SMP Racing.
At the Nürburgring, Round 4 of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the Ferrari 488 GTE and the AF Corse team erased the disappointment of the Le Mans 24 Hours. The 488 GTE took the two top spots and, finally, James Calado broke the spell with a win in WEC. The British driver, teaming up with “Gimmi” Bruni (with his first win on the 488 GTE), succeeded also thanks to the strategy of the team and gave proof of his universally acknowledged high standards. Davide Rigon and Sam Bird finished in second place on car No. 71 culminating a great comeback race that saw them start in the third to last place on the grid.
Hungary is a favorite place for Sebastian Vettel and it was here that he took his second ever win with the Scuderia. “Budapest is a sweet memory from 2015, when we were able to win the race after a fantastic start. I think it’s a great place where to be with a lot of fans, a lot of German speaking fans as well travelling from Austria and Germany, and all the Hungarians who are usually very enthusiastic and love Formula 1 being in town.
