BTCC drivers Cook and Sutton review MG GS
MG's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car (BTCC) drivers, Josh Cook and Ashley Sutton recently test drove the MG GS.
MG er et britisk bilmærke, som første gang blev registreret som salgsselskab i begyndelsen af 1920’erne. Produktion af biler blev påbegyndt i 1924, og frem til 1935 var MG personligt ejet af William R. Morris. I perioden 1935 - 1952 hed selskabet Morris Motors Ltd. Og fra 1952 til 1967, var MG en del af British Motor Corporation. Fra 1967 til 1968 ejet af British Motors Holdings, og fra 1968 til 1986 af British Leyland. Fra 1986 - 1988 en del af Rover Group, fra 1988 til 1994 ejet af Britisk Aerospace og fra 1994 til 2000 af BMW. Fra 2000 til 2005 af MG Rover Group og fra 2006 til 2008 af NAC MG. Rettighederne til navnet MG er i dag ejet af Nanjing Automobile Group, som har været en del af SAIC siden 2008. MG er kendt for sine sportsvogne, men med nedgang i britisk bilindustri, blev MG navnet også benyttet som luksusudgaver af biler fra Austin og Morris. Produktion af biler med navn MG blev genoptaget i 2007, og i 2011 kunne man endelig vise en ny bil med navnet MG.

After securing a first win of the season at Croft before the mid-season break, the MG Triple Eight Racing team were unable to back that up with more points and podiums at the Norfolk circuit.
With incidents and accident aplenty, neither Josh Cook or Ashley Sutton were able to make real in-roads on improving their positions in the Championship standings.

The MG Triple Eight Racing team secured their first win of the season, as rookie driver Ashley Sutton took a stunning maiden career win in the rain in race three.
In race one, Sutton earned his first podium as a BTCC driver, while teammate Josh Cook drove superbly in race three to earn a fifth-placed finish after starting from 14th on the grid.
