Buick

Buick er et af verdens ældste bilmærker, stiftet i 1897 under navnet Buick Auto-Vim and Power Company. I 1903 skiftede navnet til Buick Motor Co. i forbindelse med David Dunbar Buick købte virksomheden. General Motors Holding blev stiftet i 1908, og Buick solgte sine aktier til GM.

Buick har i årene hos GM været solgt som et premium bilmærke. I 2009 lukkede GM bilmærket Saturn, og i den forbindelse skulle Buick ændres til at have en bred appel som bilen til en typisk amerikansk familie.

Antallet af modeller fra Buick er reduceret siden 1960’erne. Hovedkontoret er placeret i Detroit, USA.
