Land Rover forblev under Rover Group frem til 1988, og en del af resterne af Britisk Leyland, som var ejet af British Aerospace. BMW købte Land Rover i 1994. I 2000 blev Land Rover solgt til Ford Motor Co, og i 2008 blev Land Rover sammen med Jaguar solgt til indiske Tata Motors.

Warnings are sent to the driver in the form of images on the touch screen and audio alerts via the vehicle’s speakers.
How are Land Rover engineers helping to crack the code of what it takes to win the America’s Cup?
By helping Land Rover BAR model data pulled from the racing catamaran. Jaguar Land Rover Performance Engineer, Mauricio Munoz, explains how performance analysis through machine learning positively impacts performance when the team hits the water. Also, Land Rover BAR’s Richard Hopkirk, Head of Systems and Analysis, explains how the team use this innovative data science and apply it to systems that manage the electronics and hydraulic systems on the boat – improving performance and delivering the incremental gains that could ultimately lead to victory.
Land Rover demonstrated a range of innovative research technologies that would allow a future autonomous car to drive itself over any surface or terrain. The research project aims to make the self-driving car viable in the widest range of real life, on and off-road driving environments and weather conditions. The demonstration included Surface Identification research, Terrain Based Speed Adaption research and a world first demonstration of an ‘Off-Road Connected Convoy’.
InControl Connect uses an external roof-mounted antenna for reliable connection to the strongest possible mobile and data signal, while on the move. The powerful, high-speed 3G connection allows up to eight devices to be connected wirelessly, within the vehicle. This feature requires a connection to be made, either via a Wi-Fi network or a mobile network.
