Maserati
Maserati blev grundlagt i 1914 af Alfieri Maserati i Bologna under navnet Officine Alfieri Maserati. Den første bil var en 2-liters racer til firmaet Diatto, men da Diatto stoppede produktion i 1926, kom den første Maserati i produktion. Hovedaktiviten var motorsport, og Maserati byggede mange typer racerbiler, bl.a. en 16-cylindret, som var to parallelt monterede 8-cylindrede rækkemotorer. I 1937 blev Maserati købt af familien Adolfo Orsi, i 1940 blev hovedkvarteret flyttet til Modena, og motorsport var bilmærkets primære formål og interesse. Legendariske Fangio kørte Maserati i 1950'erne, men i 1968 blev Maserati overtaget af Citroen. Da Citroen gik konkurs i 1974, fulgte Maserati med i faldet. Mærket blev overtaget af Alejandro de Tomaso i 1975 og i 1993 blev Maserati en del af Fiat koncernen. I 2019 er Maserati en del af den fusion, som pågår mellem franske PSA og FCA koncernen.
