Talbot
Talbot er stiftet i 1903 i North Kensington, England, og det var også året, hvor den første Talbot kom til England. Mærket Talbot har eksisteret som bilmærke i perioden 1903 til 1992, men uden at være brugt i perioden 1960 og 1978, ligesom Talbot har været benyttet på vidt forskellig måde. Mærket og navnet Talbot er oprindelig brugt som et engelsk navn på importerede franske biler. Den 20. Jarl af Shrewsbury stod bag det første Talbot firma, hvor man købte franske biler, og solgte dem i England under navnet Talbot. I 1906 opretter Talbot den første samlefabrik for franske biler i England. Efter 1. Verdenskrig fortsatte Talbot parallelt i England og Frankrig frem til 1919, hvor Darracq overtog selskabet, og bilerne skiftede navn til Talbot-Darracq. I årene efter blev Darracq en del af Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq. I 1935 blev selskabet overtaget af Rootes. Den franske fabrik blev solgt og eksisterende modeller fik nye navne. Sunbeam og Talbot blev slået sammen, og efter 2. Verdenskrig bliver produktionen genoptaget. I 1955 udgår navnet Talbot, og i 1967 overtager Chrysler Rootes og dermed rettighederne til Talbot. I Frankrig har man solgt biler under navnet Talbot-Lago, som igen er købt af Simca, som også blev opkøbt af Chrysler. I 1978 bliver Chrysler Europe opkøbt af PSA, og Talbot navnet bliver genoplivet. De sidste biler med navnet Talbot blev produceret i henholdsvis Spanien og Finland i 1987. I 2008 overvejede PSA at genoplive Talbot som et mærke for billige biler. Til dato er disse planer ikke blevet til noget.
